Orders within the continental U.S. Group 11 Group 11

All orders over $45 ship free within the continental United States.


Orders under $45 ship out with $9.95 shipping within the continental United States.

Locations with temperatures of 95ºF+ may incur additional charges.


First Nibs Subscription shipping rate is included in the price of the subscription.

Shipping to Hawaii Group 11 Group 11

Our standard shipping rate to Hawaii is $15. Large orders may incur additional charges.

Shipping to Canada Group 11 Group 11

We may temporarily suspend international shipping due to high temperatures. Our standard summertime shipping & handling rate to Canada is $35.

Large orders may incur additional charges. Your order may be held at customs, so please be patient.

Warm Weather: Basic Measures & Recommendations Group 11 Group 11

We love the summer but it does not always love us back. Chocolate is sensitive to the heat and will easily melt at high temperatures. We check the weather at the destination site before shipping to determine the safest shipping protocol for your chocolate.

We highly recommend shipping to a location where the chocolate can be delivered inside or someone will be there to receive it.


If you are not there to receive the package and the chocolate is left out to melt, we are not able to refund your order.

Warm Weather: Temperature Protocols Group 11 Group 11

When temperatures rise to 75ºF and above we pack chocolate with cold packs and insulation.

Chocolate is shipped out Monday through Wednesday during hot weather/summer months.

Local deliveries to the NYC area and some residential packages may be shipped Thursdays & Fridays, depending on conditions.

First Nibs Subscription shipping rate is included in the price of the subscription

Once your chocolate ships, the arrival time is usually 2 days or less.

P.O. Boxes Group 11 Group 11

In order to ensure timely delivery during summer months, we are unable to deliver to P.O. boxes outside of the NYC area.

Please provide us with an alternate mailing address if you usually use a P.O. box.

How long will it take to receive my chocolate? Group 11 Group 11

We typically process orders within 3-5 business days. Sometimes we receive a much larger volume of orders than we anticipate and orders may take a week to process. We appreciate your patience and we do our best to keep you informed! 

Once we’ve shipped your chocolate, you’ll receive an email with tracking information. Your order should arrive within 3 business days.* We ship everything from our bean-to-bar chocolate factory in Brooklyn, NY. Depending on the destination, we ship via USPS, FedEx, and UPS. 

*Note: Transit times may be affected due to holiday carrier delays*. 

In general, please allow 7-10 days from the date of your order for your chocolate to arrive.

There's a mistake. How do I adjust my order? Group 11 Group 11

If you need to make any changes to your order please reply to your order confirmation email as soon as possible. We will do our best to make requested order changes while the order is still processing in our factory. Once it ships out, we can no longer adjust order items or re-route shipments. 

Please double-check your shipping address before placing your order. Once shipped, we are not responsible for lost packages due to an incorrect original address. If your order has been returned to our factory due to an incorrect original address, we will gladly reship your order to the correct address for the cost of shipping.

How much does shipping cost for First Nibs? Group 11 Group 11

All First Nibs subscriptions have shipping included in the cost and therefore have no additional shipping cost within the continental U.S.* There is a summer shipping surcharge.

When will I receive my First Nibs batch? Group 11 Group 11

We ship First Nibs subscriptions on or around the 15th of the month, depending on weather conditions and whether the 15th falls on a weekend. 

If you sign up for First Nibs any time from the 15th through the last day of the month, you'll receive that month’s First Nibs batch and your order will ship as soon as possible.

My order arrived damaged! What can I do? Group 11 Group 11

We take great care in making sure your package arrives to you in perfect condition. However, if you are dissatisfied with what you have received, please email info@raakachocolate.com with your order number and a photo of the damage. We want you to be happy and we will thoughtfully address any issue you are experiencing!

The bar I want is sold out. When will it be back in stock? Group 11 Group 11

We make all our chocolate from scratch in small batches. Keeping our batch size small allows us to make the most uncommonly delicious chocolate and ensures traceability from batch to batch. The only downside of this is that we sell out often and we may have to hold your order until the next batch is ready. We’ll let you know if this is the case. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause, and appreciate your understanding. We do our very best to get our chocolate to you as soon as possible and we promise it’s worth the wait.
